Remedies for performance anxiety

Remedies for performance anxiety
There are some remedies here for when your anxiety is about something that is coming up in your calendar. It might be a job interview, a wedding, a presentation or performance of some sort. The anxiety is usually focussed around being observed, failing, making a fool of yourself, or being judged,  and may cause physical symptoms like sleeplessness, frequent urination or diarrhoea, nausea or even vomiting, shaking and sweating.
If you can’t get hold of the remedy, give one of us a call - we are bound to have some for you!
Ambra Grisea - you will find yourself getting more and more twitchy as you get closer to the fateful day. You’ll start to feel worn-out because every time you go to bed, you start to worry and have to get up. But even though you are so tired, you keep over-reacting to things, and might even get a bit hysterical. You find yourself wanting to be alone more. You might have palpitations, where your heart feels as if it is racing, as well as twitching.
Argentum nitricum - your imagination is going into overdrive and you keep imagining the worst. You get forgetful and start to worry about your health. Your throat might get sore, or you might have heartburn and nausea. You might start to lose your voice or lose your co-ordination, and as you get more anxious you get more hurried and frantic. You might start to belch a lot, or to have diarrhoea immediately after eating.
Carbo vegetablis- You poor thing! You will be feeling weak and exhausted, and a bit breathless. No wonder you are so irritable too...lots of wind, upward and downward, so your tummy feels constantly full. You keep waking up from horrible dreams, and feel exhausted in the morning.
Gelsemium - aching tired and heavy, with shaky hands. You keep urinating lots, adn each time you feel better, but it doesn’t last for long. You will be in a state of dread, and although you will feel tired before bedtime you just can’t sleep from thinking about what will happen, or from excitement.
Lycopodium - you feel you are bound to fail, even though last time you had to do something like this you performed well, despite the anxiety. You are very likely to experience diarrhoea before you perform, and you may also get quite cross with other people and their foolishness. Again, lots of wind, and feeling rather bloated. Lots of anxious dreams from which you wake terrified.
Phosphoric acid - worn out with the worry, but better after a little nap. You might be getting to the stage where the whole thing is such a nightmare that you don’t even care anymore. A sense of hopelessness is growing inside you...and although you are tired all day, at night you are hot and wakeful.
Which one do you match best? You won’t have all of the symptoms of any of these remedies, but you may well feel that you have some of them. If so, then please try the remedy - and do let us know how you get on!
